What is Cupping?

Cupping is a form of myofascial manipulation that uses small silicon or glass cups that are placed on the skin to create a suction.  Cupping became popular in the Olympics by swimmers.  Red or purple suctions marks were seen on thier shoulders and backs throughout the competition.

Why Cupping?

Cupping is shown to have many benefits some of which include:

-Increasing blood flow to damaged tissues

-Promotes healing

-Assists with mobility of fascia

-Tissue traction, gliding, and decompression

-Postural cueing during exercise

Cupping helped with my neck pain because it would make me more aware of my posture.
